This policy explains what data Swarmline processes, for what purpose, who it is shared with and what rights you have over it.
The app keeps in its private storage, on your device, the information the game needs to remember your progress: unlocked ships, weapons, systems and modules, in-game currency, records, settings (controls, sound, language, colour palette) and the run in progress if you leave it unfinished.
The daily challenge uses a seed derived from the date, computed on the device itself.
Advertising is rewarded only: an ad is shown only when you press a button that says so, in exchange for a benefit in the game. There are no forced ads, no full-screen ads between runs and no banners. The provider is Google AdMob, whose component inside the app connects to Google to prepare and show the ads and may process the following data:
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Device advertising identifier | Ad selection and measurement, frequency capping and fraud prevention |
| Technical device data (model, operating system, language, IP address and the approximate country derived from it) | Ad format compatibility, ad localisation and security |
| Interaction with the ad (impressions, completed views) and diagnostic data of the advertising component | Measurement, billing and error correction |
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the game asks for your consent through Google's form (User Messaging Platform) before enabling advertising, and you can review and withdraw it at any time from SETTINGS > PRIVACY inside the game. If you do not give it, the ads shown will not be personalised, or none will be shown; when there is no ad to show, the game grants the benefit anyway. The legal basis for this processing is consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). In the US states with their own privacy laws, the same form lets you opt out of the sale or sharing of your data for advertising purposes. You can read how Google uses advertising data at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Regardless of consent, your Android device lets you reset or delete the advertising identifier from Settings > Privacy > Ads.
If your device has a Google Play Games profile, the game signs in with it when it opens (or when you press SIGN IN on the leaderboards screen). Once signed in:
This processing is carried out by Google under the Google Privacy Policy. You can turn off automatic sign-in, unlink the game from your account or delete your saved game data from the Google Play Games settings. Without a session the game remains fully playable and nothing in this section or the next one applies.
The game's leaderboards, displayed names and friendships are stored in a database of the developer's own, hosted in the European Union by Supabase (Supabase, Inc.), which acts as data processor. Only if you are signed in (section 2.3) does the game send and store there:
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Your Play Games player ID | Telling your scores apart from everyone else's. It is also your friend code |
| Your player name: the Play Games one or, if you prefer, a name of your own that you type in the game (3 to 15 letters, digits or underscores, with no offensive words) | Showing you on the leaderboards and in friend requests |
| Your best score of each day (kills and level reached) in the daily challenge and in normal runs, with its date | The daily leaderboards, the all-time leaderboard and your position among the other players |
| Your friendships and the friend requests you send or receive | The friends list and the leaderboards among friends |
Your player name, your score and your level are visible to any other player on the leaderboards, and any player can send you a friend request from them, which you decide to accept or decline. Your friend code is only shared outside the game if you decide to copy or send it. The app does not access your Google Play Games friends list and does not ask you for any other text.
As with any internet service, the servers technically and temporarily record the IP address the game connects from, for security. The legal basis for this processing is the provision of the game's online features that you use (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Runs played without a session send nothing to this database.
Download, installation and, where applicable, participation in testing programmes are managed by Google Play, which processes data under its own policies. See the Google Privacy Policy.
If you have diagnostic data sharing turned on in your Android device settings, the operating system may send Google reports of the app's crashes and errors. The developer accesses them only in aggregated and anonymous form through the Google Play console, with no possibility of identifying any user. The app does not include any analytics or crash-reporting tool of its own. You can turn this sharing off in your device settings.
It is planned to mirror in Google Play Games the achievements that are already earned by playing. If this is added, Google will process those achievements linked to your Play Games profile and this policy will be updated, with its date, before the new version is published.
The developer does not sell, rent or hand over personal data to third parties. The data described is processed only by:
The leaderboard database is hosted in the European Union. Google and Supabase may process data on servers located outside the European Economic Area, covered by adequacy decisions of the European Commission or by standard contractual clauses.
Game progress stays on your device while the app is installed and is deleted when you uninstall it; its cloud copy stays in your Google account until you delete it from Google Play Games. Your player name, your scores and your friendships are kept while the leaderboards are active or until you ask for their erasure (section 8). Data processed by Google is kept for the periods stated in its policies.
Swarmline is aimed at people aged 13 or over and does not knowingly collect data from children under that age. If you find that a child under 13 has provided personal data through the app, write to the contact address so that it can be erased.
You can exercise the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and withdraw your consent at any time.
If you believe the processing does not comply with the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
If you live in California, the CCPA gives you the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, to correct it and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. The developer does not sell personal information. The use of the advertising identifier by Google AdMob may be considered "sharing" for advertising purposes under the CCPA; you can opt out from SETTINGS > PRIVACY inside the game. For the other rights, write to the contact address given above.
Game data lives in the private storage the operating system reserves for the app, isolated from other apps. All of the game's communications travel encrypted (HTTPS). The leaderboard database allows no direct reading or writing: the game can only use the specific operations it needs, and no e-mail address, password or real name is stored in it.
Any change will be published at this same address, updating the date in the header. If the change affects the data that is collected, it will be announced inside the app and, where the law requires it, your consent will be requested again.
This policy is published in the official languages of the European Union. The Spanish version is the original; if any translation differs from it, the Spanish version prevails.
